The Herron House by the famous Architect Victor A. Lundy has been a winner in the AIA-sponsored competition for best modern houses in the South. The private residence has been renovated from top to bottom and was transformed into it’s original state. Now, the refined roof out of 14 feet laminated wood and the curved brick walls surrounding the circular living room, have finally come to light again.

This Coastal Modern Island home has been fully renovated and realigned. The house offers 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. A beautiful salt water swimming pool has been built surrounded by a lush garden. The charming downtown area is within walking distance. Venice beach is at the end of the street.

When we purchased this unremarkable bungalow from 1950, it was in a sorry state. With meticulous attention to detail, good ideas and by using high-quality materials, which fit the original style of the house we were able to transform it into a beautiful midcentury Modern House. Mosaic tiles, terrazzo floors, pastel colors and furniture icons of Karl Springer and Heywood Wakefield complete the picture.
